AT Roca Esparter is an organic Brut Nature Gran Reserva sparkling wine made in the D.O. Penedès (Catalonia) by AT Roca with the Macabeo variety. AT Roca is the personal project of Agustí Torelló Sibill and his two sons Jordi and Agustí Torelló Roca, set up after they left the family winery. With several plots scattered throughout Penedès, an important wine-growing region 50 km from Barcelona, they champion native varieties, organic viticulture and careful enology. As a result they produce wines that wonderfully reflect the area.
VINIFICATION
The wine is fermented and aged for 7 months in oak barrels on its lees, after which it follows a long-ageing process of at least 30 months in bottle, which gives the wine its genuine terroir character with its elegance, finesse, and complexity.
TASTING NOTE
Creamy sparkling wine with aromas of white fruits against a sweet, spicy background, with hints of pastry and smoked. Fresh, mineral and elegant. With perfectly integrated carbon dioxide, it presents itself as sweet and supple, with a long finish.t losing its freshness in any way, it is long-lasting and tasty.
FOOD PAIRING
AT Roca Esparter cava pairs well with fish, especially fatty fish, shellfish, and cured meats. It’s also a great option for an aperitif and complements dishes like tapas, charcuterie, and rich appetizer.
