This Cava is made with the must from selected Macabeu, Xarel-lo and Parellada grapes from vineyards in the best classified estates in the Alt Penedès. It is a golden yellow and its fine, effervescent bubbles rise rhytmically, forming pretty streams that create a stable crown. The right coupage and ageing are the base for this production that has made Brut Reserva a sure thing in our product range. Founded in 1920 by the couple Joan Jové Baqués and Teresa Camps Ferrer, Juvé & Camps is one of the leading wineries in the production of cava. Now located in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, this winery has made a name for itself around the world through its wines. These are high quality wines made in Penedès.
VINIFICATION
Juvé & Camps Cinta Púrpura Reserva Brut comes from vineyards planted on their own estate in Espiells. The vines lie in loamy-clay-calcareous soils and are traditionally cultivated. When the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they are manually harvested. Juvé & Camps Cinta Púrpura Reserva Brut is made using the champenoise method. The grapes are vinified by plot and then a second fermentation takes place in the bottle. Finally, the wine spends 24 months aging before disgorging and dosing.
TASTING NOTE
Its aroma is pleasant and intense. Initially, the nose evokes clear notes of fleshy fruit and a slightly floral background. After a short time, its complexity increases and slight notes of toast appear. Its bright pale-yellow colour and small bubble flows in time with its winemaking. It leaves no one’s senses indifferent, I would highlight the balance and well-integrated carbonic gas on the palate.
