Remelluri Gran Reserva “Granja” DOCa

La Granja Remelluri is only produced when exceptional harvests are obtained. This is how the production of a unique wine is guaranteed.

VINIFICATION

It is out of a blend of grapes from the best vineyards from the different micro-climates at La Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri (Q.D.O. Rioja) that the ideal wine in this property is produced. According to the tradition of Rioja’s great Reserva wines, it stays for a minimum of seven years in the winery’s cellar. La Granja Remelluri Gran Reserva 2005 is a blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Graciano, aged in French and American oak barrels for 27 months.

TASTING NOTE

Such as in the nose, in the palate, this red wine is simply elegant. It has a mellow and structured mid palate, with a good acidity and ripe and sweet tannins. A round and balanced crispy wine with a long and very persistent finish. A great wine from Rioja. Beautiful cherry colour with ruby red edges. Clean and bright wine with abundant thin, elegant tears. Very elegant nasal aromas, with a good intensity, in which a nice balance is noticed. Its toasted and spicy aromas, its hints of undergrowth and aromatic herbs are released along with intense notes of fleshy, ripe red fruit with a touch of liquor, hints of leather and complex but expressive balsamic aromas.
