La Granja Remelluri is only produced when exceptional harvests are obtained. This is how the production of a unique wine is guaranteed.
VINIFICATION
Remelluri Reserva is a red wine, made from a blend of 5 different grape varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Viura and Malyasia. The grapes come the most important vineyards of the property. from vineyards located in soil that contains limestone terraces of calcareous, clayey soil, with bedrock surfacing in certain areas. These terraces consist mainly of sandstone and loam, the origins of which date back to the Quaternary Period. A different varieties are treated with traditional organic viticulture treatments. The harvest begins in early October and ends in late October / early November. The grapes then go through a selection table. Fermentation then takes place using indigenous yeasts. Remelluri Reserva is aged for 17 months in barrels of different origins and sizes.
TASTING NOTE
Remelluri 2010 offers us all the potential of a perfect vintage. The excellent ripening of the grapes has led to a great refinement of the wine in oak. From this stay in barrel, it has obtained some subtle spicy aromas, and some of the black fruit has given it its red colour. A concentrated but fine wine. A must have Rioja wine.
