Rublo’s great success lies in its simplicity, in that fruity base that invites you to keep drinking, with a wood aging that accompanies but does not mask it, and with that small contribution of white grapes that softens and balances it. Roberto Oliván is one of the most interesting producers among the new generation of Rioja winemakers. He works with almost 10 hectares of family vineyards and new ones that he is gradually acquiring in Viñaspre, a district of Lanciego (Rioja Alavesa) located at the eastern end of the Sonsierra.
