His great love for the sweet but also the forbidden fruits made Smith, a colonial goods and delicatessen merchant, travel year after year to his place of longing in Alicante, the city of Yecla. The dry heat, the merciless sun increased his desire for Maria Dolores, the daughter of his old business partner Aurelio Garcia immeasurably. Even today, three wines in the Garcias’ repertoire recall this passionate romance and the three daughters, so extraordinary, so beautiful.

TASTING NOTE
Juicy on the palate, great richness and warmth, plus the energy and grit to master everything, the also spicy dark and herbal spice, slightly tart bite, very persistent.
FOOD PAIRING
Cuts of lamb, beef, or pork. Roast veal or pork encrusted with black olive tapenade and capers provides an ideal accompaniment.
